My Journey
The Rubik’s Cube was invented back in 1974 by Hungarian professor of architecture ErnÅ‘ Rubik. When I first heard of the Cube I was not that excited but my parents gifted me a Rubik’s Cube on my birthday and that was the day I decided that I would learn to solve it no matter what it takes. For the first few days I would get very irritated and give up but as the days went by I gave myself a challenge to a component each day. Every day I would take away 1-2 hours from the day and go on YouTube videos to see how to solve it. It took me about 3 weeks of dedication and I finally solved it for the first time in 15 minutes. I solved the Rubik’s Cube only because I was dedicated to complete it. Although this was only a start, I was very proud of myself. As the weeks went by my time got better and I went from 15 minutes to around 2 minutes. How I learned how to solve the Rubik’s Cube was through the beginners method. This method uses around 150 moves which is equivalent to about 75 seconds. Now after 1 year I plan to use the advanced method which solves the Rubik’s Cube in less than 75 moves which is the same as 45 seconds. This was my journey to solve the Rubik’s Cube. It was my dedication and self-determination that helped my complete my goal.
